Originally, the design was a 6” unreinforced concrete floor. However, for their new warehouse, the owner sought a higher-performing floor. Collaborating with the Engineer-of-Record and General Contractor, McGough, FullForce proposed a design using FiberForce 650™ synthetic macrofibers. The initial proposal included 4 pounds/yd³ of FiberForce 650™, with an alternative of using 7.5 pounds/yd³ and extending the joints. To make an informed decision, a representative from Massman visited a project where FullForce had implemented the 7.5 pounds/yd³ FiberForce 650™ design in Oregon several years ago. Impressed with the performance, Massman Automation chose to replicate the same floor for their new building.
