Scope of Work
The channel was slip form paved with 3 lb/yd3 of FiberForce 650™ , our synthetic macrofiber reinforcement. The fiber was specified for the project by George Cairo Engineering. The San Carlos Irrigation and Drainage District (SCIDD) has been using this fiber in channels to help mitigate cracking and increase durability. Fibers increase ductility which leads to a longer life of the concrete. SCIDD has been using fibers in their channel lining projects for over 10 years with success.
