Scope of Work
Gray Construction partnered with leading business jet manufacturer, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, and top business aviation services company, Jet Aviation, on a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at the West Palm Beach International Airport in Florida. This was a 168,000 ft2 design-build facility that included offices, back shops and 75,000 ft2 maintenance hangar. The project also contained a new storage hanger, customer offices, and fuel farm.
FullForce was not only the preferred fiber supplier but was also utilized as a slab consultant and worked closely with T&T Construction on slab details. FullForce also collaborated with CEMEX on the mix design, flexural and compressive strength. Slab thickness varied throughout with 4”, 7” and 10” slab areas designed with 7.5 lb/yd3 of macro fiber, FiberForce 750™, with control joints extended out to 30 ft.
