Project Spotlight

Bedford County Agg Center

Scope of Work

This project was originally specified with 10-gauge welded wire reinforcement (WWR). Having to pump this into an existing structure with WWR on the ground created considerable safety concerns. Using FiberForce 300TM at a dosage rate of 1.5 lb/yd3 in lieu of WWR was the safest and most cost and time-efficient answer. The project did not have one crack in the 20,000 ft2 slab. It was poured in one consecutive pour with a 4,000 psi ash mix on a 5” slump using FiberForce 300TM and was placed with a 100’ pump that had 180’ of system.

This product alone saved Bedford County upwards of $2,000 ... It saved us a day’s labor and ... any safety issues with the wire. We are extremely satisfied with this state-of- the-art product [as are] the representatives from Bedford County.
