Avante Apartments and Retail

Avante is an apartment complex surrounded by a retail development. Beran Concrete, the concrete contractor, partnered with FullForce to create a new design incorporating microfibers instead of the originally planned welded wire. Initially, the construction plans specified 6×6 6/6 gauge welded wire, but FiberForce 750 synthetic macrofibers at a rate of 3 lbs/yd3 were used in the 5-inch thick pavement instead. These fibers were applied in various areas, including curbs, gutters, driving lanes, and parking spaces throughout the development. This change allowed Beran Concrete to save seven days that would have been spent tying, supporting, and placing the welded wire throughout the development.
