Advanced Floors: Arvada Residence

Scope of Work

Due to soil conditions in certain areas, engineers will often design residential basements using a suspended slab. This proactive approach mitigates future issues and should the soil under the would-be slab on grade ever heave, settle, or both. The suspended slab sits roughly 3′ above the ground inside the foundation walls, allowing ample room for the soil to move without the risk of collateral damage. Advanced Floors used Brannan Ready Mix and FiberForce 750 and have achieved excellent results on this floor and all floors they work on.

We’ve used [FiberForce 750] a long time. It saves us from having to work with steel reinforcement, which saves us time, and we get a floor that never cracks. Our customers love that.”
